I have recently simplified my editorial services. If we have worked together in the past and no longer see what you are looking for, please feel free to contact me to discuss what you need, or previous pricing arrangements. Multi-booking discounts are still available.
An important note! If you intend to submit to a publisher where I act as an editor in any capacity, please let me know before we complete any work (currently this includes Crescent Moon Press and Etopia Press). Editing by a freelance editor doesn’t ensure acceptance at a press where they work, and in no way should you believe that you should pay for a service in order to guarantee acceptance.
EDITORIAL SERVICES:
Proposal Package Deal: line edits and comments for first 3 chapters of a manuscript, query letter and synopsis (50 pages max, including the query and synopsis) – Cost $100
Content Edits – not a line edit, rather a read through of the story commenting on plot problems, point of view inconsistencies, awkward dialog or sentences, time line issues, character development, pacing, style and any unmarketable elements. This kind of a review comes with a 2 page report detailing the issues and a commented manuscript. $0.004 per word
Line Edits – a review of the work, line by line, looking at awkward phrases, missing words, typos, repetition, grammar issues, and any inconsistencies in dialogue / terminology. $0.004 per word
Combined Edits – a two pass process, with first a content edit and then a line edit, includes all the features listed above and a review of your synopsis and cover copy / query. $0.006 per word (not including synopsis and cover copy wordcount, synopsis limited to 10 pages)

Please note – if you don’t see what you are looking for or are interested in a multi book booking discount, please contact me with your query. Prices are in Canadian dollars, and are based on a double-spaced pages with 1-inch margins, using Times New Roman size 12 font. I accept payment via Paypal, please contact me for account details.
TERMS AND CONDITIONS:
Quotes for editorial work are valid for 30 days from date of issue. If the scope or length of the project changes significantly from when the initial quote is given, the quote must be amended, and agreed upon by email.
All work is guaranteed confidential. Copyright remains with the author. Your work will not be shared in any manner.
Although we take great care with all editorial work, mistakes are possible through human error. Final responsibility for the work remains with the author.
